Shining Sea Bikeway (SSB)

The Shining Sea Bikeway is named in honor of a Falmouth native, Katharine Lee Bates, who penned a patriotic poem entitled "America the Beautiful." It is a rail trail that runs 17.2 km that has a section along the seashore on Cape Cod in Falmouth, Massachusetts. There are places near the Bikeway where you can stop over for snacks, ice cream, and a bit of shopping. The Bikeway is a paved pathway that traverses marshes, cranberry bogs, and woodlands. It can be a practical way to access Wood Hole, West and North Falmouth from the Falmouth Village.

Downtown Shopping

Downtown Falmouth is in the southern part of Cape Cod and is considered the second largest town. It is where boutiques, gift shops, décor shops, bookstores, and various restaurants are situated.
